Reshaping your thighs can help to restore proportion and balance to your lower body. Thigh lifts are ideal for smoothing loose, sagging skin and reducing excess fat on the thighs to reveal flatter, firmer-looking skin and more youthful contours.
When your attempts at diet and exercise have failed, thigh lifts can help improve:
Loose, sagging skin on the thighs
Excess fat on thighs
Restore balance and proportion to lower body

Liposuction is ideal for reducing fat, whereas a thigh lift tightens loose skin in addition to decreasing pockets of excess fat. However, a thigh lift is not a replacement for liposuction. We often combine thigh lifts with liposuction to achieve the most dramatic improvements.
Depending on the degree of correction, we will make an incision in the groin or a larger incision that starts in the groin and extends downward. We will take extra care to strategically place your incisions where they can be hidden by clothing or swimsuits. Certain procedures may require more extensive incisions. We will work with you to formulate a plan that works for you.
You will need to take a week off work to rest and recover at home, avoiding strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for at least two weeks following your surgery.
Before leaving our office, we will wrap your treatment areas with a compression garment or bandages to help decrease swelling and bruising. We will also insert a small tube to help drain any excess accumulation of fluid from the surgical site. This tube will be taken out a few days following your surgery. You will feel sore for a few weeks following your treatment, in addition to experiencing swelling and bruising. These side effects are normal and will subside gradually as your incision heals. Keep in mind that it can take months for swelling to fully subside.
